The tradition I teach from is based on the teachings of TKV Desikachar, the son and long-term student of T Krishnamacharya and it is sometimes called Viniyoga. For more detailed information about the approach please see here: https://welldoing.org/article/yoga-pt-6-what-is-viniyoga
The success of Yoga does not lie in the ability to perform postures but in how it positively changes the way we live our life and our relationships.
TKV Desikachar

Some characteristics of this approach are:
- A focus on the breath
- Its suitability for people of all ages and abilities through using adaptations and modifications of the postures.
- The intelligent sequencing of postures, making it a very safe way to practice.
- The use of dynamic and static work.
- The thorough training of teachers ensuring their thorough knowledge and safe practice in teaching.

Yoga classes for all abilities by zoom at 12pm on Wednesdays- Term time only
£72 for a 6 week block, £13 per class drop-in, £40 for 6 weeks recordings only.
I currently offer 1:1 lessons, by zoom or at my home. A 1:1 lesson involves a collaboration between the student and teacher to create a practice that is designed specifically for the student. It requires some level of commitment from the student as they are expected to take the practice every day or as often as their lives allow. The practice can be as long or as as short as is appropriate for the student. 1:1 lessons are suitable for any student but especially those who have specific issues they want to address or for keen students who want to take their practice deeper, or even for those who don’t feel comfortable in a group class- they are very much tailored towards you and your needs.
